Senior Laravel Developer

About the Role

We are looking for an experienced Senior Laravel Developer to lead and contribute to complex web application projects. You will be responsible for architecting solutions, mentoring junior developers, and ensuring the delivery of high-quality, scalable applications.

Responsibilities

• Lead the development of enterprise-level Laravel applications
• Design and implement robust, scalable, and secure backend architectures
• Write clean, well-documented, and testable code
• Conduct code reviews and provide mentorship to junior developers
• Optimize application performance and database queries
• Integrate third-party APIs and services
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define project requirements
• Implement best practices for security, testing, and deployment

Required Skills & Qualifications

• 5+ years of professional PHP development experience
• 3+ years of hands-on experience with Laravel framework
• Deep understanding of Laravel ecosystem (Eloquent, Blade, Queues, Events, etc.)
• Strong knowledge of MySQL/PostgreSQL and database optimization
• Experience with RESTful API development and design
• Proficiency in Git and collaborative development workflows
• Understanding of design patterns and SOLID principles
• Experience with automated testing (PHPUnit, Feature/Unit tests)
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and leadership abilities

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Laravel Nova, Livewire, or Inertia.js
• Knowledge of modern frontend frameworks (Vue.js, React)
• Familiarity with cloud deployment (AWS, DigitalOcean, or similar)
• Experience with Redis, Elasticsearch, or other caching/search technologies
• Understanding of microservices architecture
• Knowledge of DevOps practices and CI/CD pipelines
• Contributions to open-source projects
• Bachelor's or Master's degree in Computer Science or related field
